(This is an opinion piece. These are my educated opinions on any possible or probable outcome(s). As always, I do not support any illegal or unconstitutional activities.)
“I am very glad Trump lost. I am not exaggerating when I say that our liberal democracy will start to end the day he takes office. Especially now.” Excerpt from “Is MAGA a Terrorist Movement,” page 72.
Also, on page 126 of this book, I said, “MAGA has a plan. The first step is discrediting their enemies. The steps after that will be to control the government and pass laws to eliminate those enemies.”
My book explains in detail why this is so.
I wrote these statements last year, even though the first printing was in March 2024.
Who are those enemies if Trump wins?
Anyone who stood or stands against Trump and MAGA.
He has already said he will use the government to go after his political rivals AFTER the election is won. Talk about weaponizing the government! He has clarified that the “FREE PRESS IS THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE” through his statements and actions.
So, he will go after the press and limit their ability to investigate any unconstitutional or illegal activity by him or MAGA. He has also talked about arresting journalists and politicians who speak out against him. He even recently referred to shooting some of them. But we can trust a convicted felon not to do that…
After the first amendment is effectively invalidated, other amendments will also fall. Again, they may be legally overturned, “ruled” on by a MAGA majority SCOTUS, legislated by a MAGA congress, or done by an executive order from POTUS (with the total weight of the federal government’s executive branch behind it).
Once the intimidation to bow to MAGA’s will begins, more and more of our elected officials (and indeed appointed ones) will fall to MAGA. Even the ones who disagree will fear for their jobs (and eventually their freedom and safety). So, they will add their votes to the MAGA fascism machine. Once enough power is consolidated into MAGA, they will come for the citizens as well.
The free press will effectively become state-controlled (Elon’s ownership of X would be a conflict if he were appointed to the government, but they have shown they no longer obey the emoluments clause and certainly don’t care about using their government position to make money for themselves and their companies. Trump not only didn’t divest as POTUS is required to do, but he also had secret service stay at his company’s hotels.)
But, staying on topic, this blog is about what will happen if Trump and MAGA win tomorrow’s election. This blog is posted on November 4th, the day before the election.
First, the extremely obvious. They (MAGA, assume MAGA anytime I say “they”) have already set themselves up to say the vote is illegitimate if they lose. Of course, if they win, well, then, of course, it IS legitimate then! Their hypocrisy has no bounds.
So, they will fight the mail-in ballots, say “stop the steal” to try and keep them from being counted, and do everything possible to invalidate any vote for the Democrats (a.k.a. non-MAGA). If Kamala Harris wins by an irrefutable margin, we will still have to fight them until January 6th to ensure it is ratified. Then, they will talk about civil war…
If it is close, Trump will win.
How?
The same as Hitler did. Hitler also lost the popular vote, but forced his way into ruling the country. For us, it will be Bush v. Gore all over again. SCOTUS will look at what is happening and make a ruling on who will be President. I will give you a hint—it will be a 6-3 ruling that Trump won. Regardless of any pesky “evidence” that he didn’t win.
This vote would never have happened if SCOTUS had not already gone 100% against the Constitution. They invalidated the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision that Trump met the definition of an insurrectionist (because he does) and could not be on the ballot. SCOTUS effectively ruled that any Insurrectionist could run for a federal position (in blatant violation of the 14th Amendment).
So, do you think SCOTUS, with its 6-3 pro-MAGA super-majority, will go on to “invalidate” other amendments? The pro-Christian Nationalist movement will use their help to “establish” laws of a hard-core pseudo-Christian nature. They will not be “love thy neighbor” laws—as Jesus would want. But, when your “pseudo-religion” hires the anti-Christ (literally, he works against almost everything Jesus stood for), it is to be expected. SCOTUS has clarified that any amendment after the first ten can be repealed anytime with their “traditional American values” comments and actions.
Also, if two-thirds of Congress is controlled or intimidated by MAGA, then they will just add or repeal any amendment they want.
Here are a few they will try to overturn or effectively overturn, in whole or in part:
A1: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise therof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievences.”
They have already violated or stated their intent to violate every part of this amendment.
A2: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
This one has been argued ad nauseum.
Using SCOTUS’s love for “traditional American values,” this one is easy. It says the right to bear arms. It does not say anyone can have any gun. If MAGA thinks that a citizen having an automatic weapon (including an automatic grenade launcher) is what our forefathers had in mind, they are even more delusional than we suspected…
The United States already has more guns than people and the highest death toll from firearms among its citizens of all the OECD countries. MAGA has no “common sense.” So, instead of reasonable gun control laws, we will see assault rifles, and probably more, in the hands of people without the temperament, maturity, and training to use them. Imagine 390 million cars, plus huge commercial vehicles—why not?—with no driving tests or competency checks allowed on our roads. Now imagine it with things that only have one purpose—to kill…
A12: This amendment is about Congress ratifying (counting) the vote. That’s it. No debate, just count.
MAGA attacked the Capitol on Jan 6 in a successful attempt to stop Congress from ratifying the votes (they had to continue again later). They were incited to do so in a speech by Donald Trump (as POTUS at the time) that same day. He said to “fight like hell” or “you won’t have a country anymore.”
So, do you think they will be willing to attack and obstruct the government again to seize power illegally?
A14, Section 3: “No person shall… hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State… shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid to or comfort to the enemies thereof.”
Trump has demonstratively done precisely this and will be our first ACTUAL Insurrectionist if elected as POTUS again.
Yes, Trump will be an illegitimate POTUS and should be treated as such. All lawsuits and legal actions to remove him from office are appropriate. But guess who will ultimately rule on that… SCOTUS. So, they will concur with their former (unconstitutional) ruling on this amendment.
A19: “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.”
This article clarifies that ALL adult citizens can vote regardless of sex. This means any gender, including all LGBTQ+, shall not have this right infringed. MAGA will attempt to violate this amendment.
A22: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice…”
This amendment wasn’t even passed until 1947, so, according to our MAGA-friendly SCOTUS super-majority, it would not even be based on the “history and traditions” of our Constitution.
Be ready; it will be repealed. Either by Congress or just “effectively” repealed by some SCOTUS ruling. Trump and his legacy will be able to be “President for Life.”
I realize this is a long blog and even a bit “all over the place,” but I wanted everything I have been trying to say to be on record BEFORE the election results are known. That way, if someone goes back and says, “Russell never said this could happen,” they can re-read this blog (and my book)!
Even though entire books have been written on this, the recorded statements and actions of MAGA (Trump is their leader) have confirmed their desire for a fascist government, not a liberal democracy. And on January 20th, if MAGA comes to power under Donald Trump, many of the following events will occur, starting on Jan 20th (given enough time and power to force them on us):
- All charges against hundreds of criminals (who are domestic terrorists involved with Jan 6—whether labeled that legally or not) will be released and their criminal records expunged. This will occur within days after his coronation on Jan 20th. What do you think those terrorists will do now? Trump will also use the government to make his federal charges “disappear.” Then they will say he can’t go to jail for the 34 felonies he has been convicted for because “it would be too damaging to the country.” No, elected a KNOWN FELON is what is damaging to the country. If they want a felon—let him run as POTUS from prison.
- Congress will pass laws to protect him from any legal actions (such as court cases or lawsuits) occurring before his current presidency. Any during? SCOTUS has already ruled he can do anything he wants if it is classified as “doing his official duties” as POTUS.
- The federal civil service protections will be replaced, making all federal employees “at will” employees. Then their fealty will be to MAGA, not to our country. Now, the government really will be “weaponized” against its citizens.
- Mass deportations of illegal AND LEGAL immigrants, possibly even violating the Posse Comitatus Act and using the military against our own citizens. And not prosecuting some “hate crimes” by citizens against perceived illegals.
- LGBTQ+ will lose the right to marriage, along with the many tax, medical, and legal protections that it provides. They will also be targeted with “bathroom bills,” leading to bigger ones later. Eventually, any public display of behavior that doesn’t conform to a strict version of “pseudo-Christianity” will become illegal. And then enforced by “at will” federal agents and police.
- The Supreme Court (SCOTUS) will overturn, or effectively overturn as they have already done with the 14th amendment, any laws that stand in the way of MAGA’s “traditional Christian nation.” In clear violation of the 1st Amendment. This is already happening with their attacks on women’s and LGBTQ+ rights.
- SCOTUS will repeal the 22nd amendment, allowing Trump and his successors to be “President for Life.”
- The most obvious one—all federal charges on Trump will be dropped, and he will sic the Department of Justice (and the rest of the government) on his perceived enemies. If those employees refuse to do these immoral and “formerly illegal” things, they will be “fired” because they are “at will” employees. Thus, intimidating everyone else in the government to “toe the line.”
- “THE FREE PRESS ARE THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE.” With that one statement, MAGA will attack and destroy the free press and free speech (including jailing journalists, bloggers, or anyone who speaks or acts against them). Once these “subversives” become, legally, criminals—all “news” will be MAGA-friendly. If only they had a hundred-billionaire with his own social media corporation to “help” the government rid itself of these “subversive” people speaking out against government overreach and atrocity… Maybe they could even put him in charge of “protecting” our “new and improved” First Amendment and regulating his company’s opponents… And/or, just have SCOTUS overturn the parts of this amendment they don’t like.
- Trump and MAGA will weaponize the DOJ and the rest of the government. Not just the back-and-forth “accusations” we hear now but start using them—overtly—to convict people of “sedition” and other crimes that they are not truly guilty of. Illegal GOP actions aiding MAGA will be overlooked and not pursued for prosecution. Meanwhile, all MAGA opponents will be pursued for real or imagined “criminal” violations.
- Power will continue to be concentrated in the Office of the President and the executive branch. All three branches will be effectively under MAGA control with a MAGA congress (they already have a MAGA SCOTUS, so goodbye separate independent branches of government). Lastly, they will pass laws and amendments to consolidate power and make the “New Republican” party the only viable party.
- No independent branches of government. Only one viable party. All “checks and balances” are eliminated one at a time. A powerful president is in control of an unchecked executive branch. This is fascism. And add in elements of theocracy to make the MAGA “faithful” happy…
